I just got back from photographing a Jamaica Destination Wedding on Sunday! Whew! I am a bit under the weather with a head cold. *sneezes* Even so, I had an incredible time on the trip; It was 4 days of pure tropical bliss and a stunning wedding of a high school acquaintance Victoria and her now Husband Jason. I just wanted to say thanks again, to you both, for an amazing vacation. Your family was so welcoming to me and I felt right at home with all of them. I can’t wait to show you the photos! Here is a sneak peak! What a stunning moment!

hello…remember me? It’s been awhile, hasn’t it?! The past several months I’ve been working on multiple websites (try 14!) that I had been individually contracted to do web design for. To say that I felt busy is an understatement. I’ve rarely had the time to shoot more than casually! In the mean time, I offer everything from engagement and wedding photography to commercial and product photography for big and small businesses. Congratulations to a dear friend of mine, Eva Janney (who has done much of the modeling in my photography portfolio) for her marriage to Steven Yagley this last Saturday at the Pine Knob Mansion. I had a wonderful time at the wedding, I must say everything was so beautiful and I can not wait to see the photos done by Kathy Davies Photography P.S The photo booth was such a great idea! Have an awesome time on your honeymoon!

A BIG thanks goes out to Stephania LaRonge, who is a Stella & Dot Jewelry Stylist, for providing these stunning jewelry pieces for this beauty photo session. This is one of the most collaborative beauty photo shoots I’ve participated in and I had a blast working with these wonderful ladies for this shoot. I think as part of a creative team its so important for all creative voices to be heard. Sometimes it can awkward being the person that puts the shoot on hold to take the time to improve a shot…but in the end its all about getting the best shot possible these ladies were more than willing to put in the time. Thanks so much to my awesome team from this shoot!

I had the lovely opportunity of shooting Chris & Mallory Hughes elegant vintage inspired wedding back in October of 2008. This was my first wedding as main and only shooter & it was definitely an exciting challenge for me. The wedding took place at The Waldenwoods Resort and Conference in Hartland, Michigan. The venue was absolutely beautiful and lush and the day full of so many special moments caught on camera! Take a look
